Heino is a Finnish food and drink industry icon founded in 1899. Since then, we have grown into an active entrepreneur, investor, owner and supporter in our field.
Our story started in 1899 when Fritjof Heino founded a tiny meat and butter shop in Kallio, Helsinki. Since those days, Heino has witnessed and remarkably contributed to the development of Finnish food culture – from the years of food shortage to premium pulled oats, and from karelian pasties to global cuisines.
Our Heino family started off as the builders, and continues as the enablers, of raising the local food culture to new heights. Our path has always been guided by the same founding question: what will this century’s food culture taste like?
